Music plays an important role in enriching the curriculum at John Keble, providing children with opportunities to develop new skills, confidence and creativity.
Through the Listen2Me programme delivered by Hampshire Music Service, every child learns an instrument for one term each year, alongside their regular music curriculum lessons.
We believe that children flourish when they are given a wide range of experiences and opportunities, and learning a musical instrument helps to nurture perseverance, self-expression and a lifelong appreciation of music. This commitment ensures that all children can enjoy a rich and varied musical education.
We are delighted to offer peripatetic music lessons in brass, piano, guitar and violin through the wonderful team at the Winchester Academy of Music.
These lessons provide children with the opportunity to develop their musical talents, build confidence and enjoy the many benefits of learning an instrument.
